The service life of the filter bag is extended by using one or more magnets. Magnetic particles such as chips and splinters are trapped, which prevents them from penetrating the filter cloth.

In each Sotex part-flow filter a very powerfull neodymium magnet is factory installed.
- up to 3 pieces extra possible on SDF36, SDF54, CleanoMat35 and CleanoMat54
- up to 6 pieces extra possible on CleanoMat72 and CleanoMat 108
